I still have that rubber stuff on it - it's a mat that you are meant to put in your kitchen drawer so the pots and pans don't slide around in it. It works pretty well so far, but I have been wearing them inside mainly. Somebody gave me the tip to buy old tires and cut soles from them, but I haven't tried it yet...
